Conjugaci\u00f3n del verbo to be en tiempo pasado"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>En esta entrada aprender\u00e1s la diferencia entre <em>was &amp; were,<\/em> c\u00f3mo se conjuga el verbo <em>\u00abto be\u00bb<\/em> en tiempo pasado y cu\u00e1ndo usamos <em>was &amp; were (past simple, past continuous,<\/em> y para los m\u00e1s avanzados &#8211; los modos condicionales y la voz pasiva).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo <em>was<\/em> y cu\u00e1ndo <em>were<\/em>?<\/h2>\n<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se conjugar el verbo <em>to be<\/em> &#8211; \u00abser\u00bb en ingl\u00e9s?<\/p>\n<p>La regla general es la siguiente:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>Were <\/em><\/strong>es para el plural + <em>you<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Was<\/em><\/strong> es para el singular &#8211; <em>you.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>En ingl\u00e9s, es un poco extra\u00f1o que <em>you<\/em> sea tanto \u00abt\u00fa\u00bb como \u00abvosotros\u00bb. Por supuesto, esta es la base de muchos malentendidos. were<\/em> en el segundo condicional<\/h2>\n<p>En todos los <a href=\"\/es\/?p=172\">modos condicionales<\/a> (en oraciones con la condici\u00f3n <em>if<\/em> = \u00absi\u00bb o <em>wish<\/em> = \u00abme gustar\u00eda\u00bb) dejamos volar nuestra imaginaci\u00f3n y especulamos. <em>Was &amp; were<\/em> se nos aparecer\u00e1n en <a href=\"\/es\/?p=7301\">el segundo modo condicional,<\/a>cuando especulemos sobre el presente. Cuando pensamos c\u00f3mo ser\u00eda todo ahora si hubi\u00e9semos hecho algo diferente. Pero aunque hablamos sobre el presente, lo hacemos usando el tiempo pasado.<\/p>\n<p>Por ejemplo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If you were so rich, you wouldn&#8217;t drive such car.<\/em> (Si fueras tan rico, no conducir\u00edas un coche as\u00ed.)<\/li>\n<li><em>I wish you were here.<\/em> (Ojal\u00e1 estuvieras aqu\u00ed.)<\/li>\n<li><em>We could go out if it wasn&#8217;t raining.<\/em> (Podr\u00edamos salir a alg\u00fan lugar si no estuviese lloviendo.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A menudo surge la pregunta si en el segundo modo condicional decimos:<\/p>\n<h3><em>I was<\/em> o <em>I were?
